Spring Fever

Take a deep breath…slowly let it out. Ahh, you know what I’m talking about. That fresh spring air! Folks, it’s time to come out of hibernation. I think spring is here to stay! (Finally, right?!) So on behalf of this glorious time of the year, I decided to share some of my favorite things about spring with you. 🙂

That fresh spring air! The air no longer hurts your face when you walk outside. Can I get an AMEN?! Spring just has its own unique smell, and boy is it wonderful. You can open the windows to freshen up your home and wake up to the birdies chirping away. We had the windows open the other night and could smell someone’s bonfire they had going. Mmmm. Talk about ah-maa-zing!!! Once the flowers start blooming you can smell those too! No garden? No worries! Pick up some fresh blooms at your local grocery store and display them in your home!

The colors! Everything is starting to brighten up. Outside, inside, everywhere you look. The grass is starting to turn green. The sun stays out longer at night. The flowers. The dirty snow is finally melting. Everything just seems brighter and more awake when spring arrives.

The rain! Now, I know everyone can appreciate a nice sunny day. But can you say the same for a rainy day? I can! Wanna know why? It’s a hell of a lot better than freakin’ snow! And you can go puddle splashing! Or stay in and cuddle your loved one allllll day and watch the rain fall. Who could possibly complain about that?!

The wardrobe changes! Time to bust out the bright tops, capris, shorts (if you’re lucky) and flip flops and pack away those dark, bulky winter jackets and salt covered boots! Woohoo! That alone is enough to celebrate the start of spring. Get some color on that skin girlfran!

Getting outside! Go. Now. Get some vitamin D in your life that you’ve been desperately missing.  Hubs and I took full advantage of the nice weather this past weekend. We went to do a winery tour which was partially outside and enjoyed our sample wines outside. And we also went to the outdoor gun range. Get out and cook on the grill, take a walk, go for a bike ride. Whatever you do, get yo ass outside and ENJOY IT! 🙂
